Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026
This extension collects no data. Nothing is transmitted anywhere. There is no server, no account, and no analytics.
What the extension does
When you click a download control on an image in ChatGPT, the extension shows a prompt asking what to name the file, then saves the image under that name. That is its entire function.
What is stored
One value, on your device only: the last filename you typed. It exists so the extension can offer it back as a one-click suggestion the next time you save an image.
It is held in Chrome's local extension storage. It is never transmitted, never shared, and is removed when you uninstall the extension. You can clear it at any time by removing and reinstalling.
Nothing else is stored.
What is not collected
To be explicit, the extension does not collect, transmit, or retain:
- Your conversations, prompts, or any message content
- The images themselves, or copies of them
- Personally identifiable information of any kind
- Authentication details, cookies, or session tokens
- Browsing history, or any record of pages you visit
- Usage analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or diagnostics
- Your IP address or device identifiers
Where the extension can run
The extension is restricted to two addresses:
https://chatgpt.com/*https://chat.openai.com/*
It has no ability to read, modify, or access any other website. Chrome enforces this restriction — it is not a promise, it is a technical limit declared in the extension's manifest and visible in the source.
Permissions, and why each is needed
downloads
Saving a file under a chosen filename requires this permission. It is used only to save the image you explicitly asked to download, at the moment you ask for it.
storage
Used solely to remember the last filename you typed, as described above.
Host access to ChatGPT
Required so the extension can detect when you click a download control and read the image's address in order to save it.
Third parties
There are none. No third-party services, SDKs, analytics providers, advertising networks, or external code are used. All code ships inside the extension package and runs locally in your browser.
The extension does not sell or transfer user data to third parties, does not use or transfer user data for any purpose unrelated to its single stated function, and does not use or transfer user data for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
Children
The extension is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date. Material changes affecting how data is handled will also be noted in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
